Confirmed from John Riel Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Petite local park with a playground and a .3 mi trail.
What runners say about John Riel Memorial Park
“It is clean and safe (as far as I can tell) and can be quite active on sunny weekends.”
“Shaded spectator area at ball field.”
John Riel Park features a 0.30 mile walking track, a pavilion with picnic benches, a large playground, a fenced in-line hockey rink, and several benches for sitting and enjoying the many trains that pass by on two sides. It is clean and safe (as far as I can tell) and can be quite active on sunny weekends.
This park has added 4 (free) pickleball courts (along with 1 tennis court) to the playground and nice walking path! Very excited! P. S. There is no shade though. Bring water and sunscreen!
Needs some TLC. The tennis courts are in shambles and the sidewalk/path could use paving/resealing. Also the gazebo could use some help. I like this park but it needs some attention.
small confortable park hidden inside one of the neighborhoods of allen park. nice 1/3 mile walking track. Hockey court available. newer playscape.
