Confirmed from Kissena Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The park is especially calming when walking with a companion on a quiet day.”

My favorite park in Queens, New York. There's a beautiful lake with so much life (swans, turtles. Ducks Frogs. Etc). There's different trails. There's a few playgrounds throughout the park. Public bathrooms are available.

This park is amazing for an afternoon or early morning walk. Fall is one of the best times to take a walk here since the cool blue air makes a calming and present place to be. It's a great park to walk until you're lost and retrace your steps.

I passed by to visit their hiking trails - the signs are somewhat small, so be on the look out for them. The flowers are slowly coming out and there are a few animals roaming around - a few turtles hiding besides the pond and some swan resting along the hay stack. All quite peaceful

Kissena park is a fantastic place to visit for its gorgeous scenery and plentiful outdoor activities. The walking/biking paths are beautiful. The lake is stunning and often has ducks, geese, turtles, and even swans. My 5 year old son loves visiting and playing at the jungle gyms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
