Confirmed from Klingle Road Trail head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Klingle Road Trail head
The King Valley Trail is one of my favorite trails in the DC area! The trail is a loop around the Smithsonian National Zoo, restaurants, and other attractions. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice walk, run, or cycling ride. Enjoy!
Cool hidden trail that starts from the Trageron Conservancy and goes under the Cleveland Park Bridge. The path also takes you to the National Zoo in one direction and Pierce's Mill in the other.
Pleasant paved Trail to walk or bike. Surrounded on both sides by nature including a meandering stream. Connects neighborhood with trails in Rock Creek Park. Even has places along it's pathway to sit & relax.
Great place to go on a hike with a dog and it is very well kept as well. Would highly recommend this place.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
