We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kracklauer Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Can't wait to see when they remodel the park for all abilities.”

Kracklauer Park has changed a lot since I visited when I was a kid. I can still remember the big metal robot with the slides that would melt your thigh off. This park is a nice little sanctuary in the middle of Mundelein. The playground is modern with tons of room to run.

Craklower is the lamp as I am the moth, my life against my will always returns me back to here. I can remember vividly the times Ive been to Krorkflower, once when I was 12 and my brother had bloodied his nose we stopped for icecream at Korkstower, when I was 13 the first time I hung out with friends outside of school…

Gem in Mundelein—this is an excellent facility. Don’t miss the summertime concert series; the township brings in great bands and the green is PERFECT for an evening concert! Plenty of shaded and plenty of sun depending what you want. The playground is great and includes areas for little and bigger kids.

I Park and walk around the park for exercise, I always see kids playing in the park, people walking their dogs , people riding their bikes. Mundelein really makes good use of the space. Always clean in the park. Can't wait to see when they remodel the park for all abilities.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
