Confirmed from La Verde Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about La Verde Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (103 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“So much fun for the kids and the restrooms have been clean every time we went!”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“It was really nicel they had splash pad under the shade and it was open to the public.”

New park!! It’s sweet and looks like summers here will be fun! There is a splash pad, volley ball courts, walking trail, slides, climbing structures, swings… and your kids can make the bobcat roar if they roar for him from inside the structure!

Great park for kids, with nice clean restrooms. We needed a pit stop on our way to San Antonio and this was the perfect park just a mile or two off 35. They also have a wide open grass field and sand volleyball court. This was our first time at the park but won’t be our last!

My morning walk with my lil dog, is like a fresh bath with the aromatic smell of the shrubs and flowers and the breeze of the water flowing through the park ! 🙏

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“There’s a nice bathroom area to the right of the stage, near the sand volleyball court, with 4 or 5 individually locking bathrooms.”
