Confirmed from Lake Charles Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Relaxed park with swings, slides and climbing structures, a pier and gazebos.

What runners say about Lake Charles Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (72 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“The park is a beautiful location for walking, watching sunsets, playing sports, as well as gathering with friends and family.”

LC includes a playground with many features to climb on, perfect for all children. The basketball court is super convenient too. My favourite part is the path along the lake. It’s super scenic, almost like another state similar to a national park. The fishing dock and lake are so beautiful.

★★★★★ — Sage , Jun 2023

The park is a beautiful location for walking, watching sunsets, playing sports, as well as gathering with friends and family. The water views were amazing. There were multiple water fountains in the area, a climbing wall, a basketball court and adequate parking.

This is a great place to take your kids. It has a lot of playground equipment for them to run around and play on. They should have more swings but it has a good amount of slides and climbable equipment. Will go there again

★★★★☆ — John , Mar 2022

Nice neighborhood park with basketball and well maintained play area for kids. Paved walk path next to Charles Lake with plenty of benches and two gazebos for restring and picnic.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
