Confirmed from Lakefront Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Vibrant park offering sports fields & rinks, an amphitheater, skate park, fishing pier & playground.
What runners say about Lakefront Park
“This is a beautiful Park to visit, especially if you want to just take a leisurely walk around or if you want to plan an event.”
“Great for all ages but the main playground is better suited for kids 1.”
My 4 legged babies and I really enjoyed the gentle rolling hills of lush green grass. Fantastic for socializing both animals and humans with the option of just staying to yourself and breathing in what mother nature has to offer!
Rating for playground. Wonderful playground with many different features, many that you don't see that other playgrounds in the area such as the pirate ship in the sand pit. Great for all ages but the main playground is better suited for kids 1.5 and older. They have a handicapped swing and a path leading to it.
Lakefront Park is enjoyable with beautiful nature trails. They have a little beach that is very quaint. (however, there is no life guard on duty.) You can also do different activities like play basketball or have the young ones play on the playground.
It's hard to explain, but you walk around this persine area.It makes you look at life in a whole different way Park is also superbly maintained.
Trail conditions & character
“With riverside views, sports fields and rinks, an amphitheater, a skate park, fishing pier, and a large play area, this park has something for everyone.”
“I knocked one star off because some people do not adhere to the leash ordinance and keep their dogs on a leash, which upsets my dog.”
“Great park for kids with nice trails for nature walks, and a big hill for sledding in the winter.”
