Lovely little fishing lake/pond and hiking trails. I've caught catfish, bass and snapping turtles here.
Before flooding in 2019, Lakewood was a very nice place to walk with lots of shade and gave a unique outdoor experience within Salina. Since flooding, the trails have suffered due to tree deaths and other damage. Still a nice secluded park to make you feel you are "in the country" while still in town.
I go here almost every day on my lunch break,it's a nice park. Offers frisbee golf,dog walking,trails, fishing on North end.And don't forget mushroom hunting. Playground equipment. It's got so dang much to do. And it is extremely clean and cleaned up. 🌳
I know a lot of people go to walk the trails or play disc golf. I just love to go sit and watch the water and chill. The playground areas are clean and we'll maintained and at the north entrance they now have.the.cutest statue.
