Confirmed from Lansing Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great place for a walk, run, or bike ride. The paved trail is easy to follow and leads through prairie meadows and forests. There are deer in the woods and they're not overly skittish so there's a good chance of spotting one.

★★★★☆ — Terry , Jul 2020

I like the trails in the woods are nice especially during the summer but even in the winter when it's really crispy cold and the snow crunches under your feet it's not too bad but always be careful and watch your surroundings

★★★★☆ — Thomas , Dec 2019

My family and I visited the open area for a surprise picnic for my son. I loved how it was nice and clean, not very crowded, off a main street, and frequently patrolled by park police. We will come back to explore the trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
