Confirmed from Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail
Rode my bike on this for the first time this weekend. I parked/started at the 8th street trailhead and rode to Mount Gretna and back. It was awesome! Its a wide trail. Some of it is paved while other sections are rocky.
Loved this trail off of the main roads. This whole area has a lot of trail access and hiking. Such a beautiful and accessible space. Most sections flat, but some low grades. Doable even if you have a handicap like me. Great for biking and walking dogs.
Typical of this type of trail, packed stone/paved trail through wooded terrain good for walking/running/biking often flanked by private property. Recently have seen snakes including copperhead
Nice rail-trail. Can't wait to see it in the fall with the color change. Easy enough for kids and beginners, long enough for a workout. Walk, bike, horseback... all is allowed

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
