Confirmed from Lions Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lions Park
“The playground area was clean and well kept, in fact there was fresh mulch that was just poured when we visited.”
I had a great time walking down and through the trail. The horses gave me a Forrest Whitaker eye but my girlfriend said I looked like a sexy pirate so I guess it worked out. My only advice is to hand out free Allegra. Lol
We went for a homeschool outing. Had a great time. Only suggestion is that the cyclists here knew proper procedure for passing. We had many children who all acted very behaved but the cyclists gave no notice when they were passing. One time a person repeatedly rung a bell with no verbal notice.
Lions Park is great! It's several acres full of soccer fields and two playgrounds. Last time we were there they still only had portable toilets and we do hope they construct permanent restrooms. Water fountains and a splash pad would be a nice addition too!
My daughter and I make this a regular stop on our rides on the Getzendaner Trail. She loved the playground when she was younger, and still loves the spinning bar parasol. Lots to do here and in the surrounding area. Great for kids of all ages.
