Confirmed from Lippold Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with ball fields, a disc golf course & a skateboard park, plus ponds & hiking trails.
What runners say about Lippold Park
“I grew up playing baseball on all eight fields, and they were always well maintained by the Park District and volunteers.”
“Beautiful facility but could have better signage and better informed staff.”
We come here for disc golf because this is one of the best maintained and interesting courses around! Also, the walking path is clean and even throughout. There are garbage cans throughout the course so you don't have to hold onto any garbage for very long. Highly recommended!
Southern edge of the park walking trails. Benches and garbage cans, beautiful time is year.
Trail conditions & character
“Limited parking near miniature golfing and driving range”
“Beautiful facility but could have better signage and better informed staff.”
“Concession and restrooms by softball fields other wise port a potties.”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
