We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Lorain/Stonycreek Hiking Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“The place is beautiful the only thing that bothered me is that you can hear the cars noises from the road nearby while walking in the trail”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“The path is clearly marked with blue blazes on trees and rocks.”

Great hiking trails. I can't wait to explore them all. I loved the walk back to the falls. It was sooo beautiful, 10/10 recommend everyone go see the falls hiding back there.

Want to stay close to "city" but hit the trails, well this is where you need to go. Choose the trail that best suits your skill level. If you are looking for an absolutely challenging trail take yellow. If you want a less stressful path take red or lime green. White is sort of the middle of the road.

Super well kept and very easy to follow paths. Love taking my boy here for an evening hike 🐕

★★★★★ — Miranda , Aug 2022

The trail to the falls was brutal in 6 inches of snow not to mention the stream was way to high to cross towards the end to get to the falls. I’ll have to return in nice weather to finish this one and get some pictures of the waterfall. This trail is definitely better for a dry day in June, not a snowy day in March.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
