Confirmed from Lost Falls Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lost Falls Trailhead
“Not a drip of water due to drought, but still beautiful”
“This trail was not clearly marked and we missed the turn off for the falls.”
This is a great trail for a leisurely hike. There isn't anything too strenuous, just an easy 3.1 mile trip. There are several water features along Azalea Creek, which the trail runs adjacent to.
Great place for a family hike or bike ride. It is all single trek. Well marked, well maintained. On a side note the falks are no longer "lost" , they know exactly where they are.
Really nice short level scenic hike with parking. Easily saw two small waterfalls, a creek, and a climb able photo op rock formation. Highly recommend.
This trail was not clearly marked and we missed the turn off for the falls. We still enjoyed the flat hike.

Plan your run at Lost Falls Trailhead
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
