Confirmed from Lytle Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly space with picnic areas and a playground, plus tennis courts and a pool.
What runners say about Lytle Park
“Such a great and clean park to take your family or yourself to.”
“The upkeep is phenomenal and the playground has so many neat features for children of all ages.”
Very nice pool area. plenty of shelters with access to electricity. And a really nice kids play area. but also another recreational playground on the other side. A tennis court. A nice relaxing garden path with mostly labeled plants is very educational and stunning in almost all seasons.
Best park in Mattoon. Plenty of activities and events though out the year. Summer is packed with Friday night movies on the great lawn. Music in the new stage/pavilion. One of the largest single vessel pools around. All new nature designed play ground equipment and plenty of walking paths. Tennis courts.
Great for reunions if you want to let kids swim, it's the best pool in area. Also I love sound of fountain when it's running. Also they included new garden like area for bird watching. List goes on!
