Confirmed from Mansfield Hollow Lake Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular spot for boaters (launch available), paddlers and hikers, plus picnics.
What runners say about Mansfield Hollow Lake Recreation Area
“I think i posted already about this place and how beautiful it is.”
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Been coming here for years and I am still finding new places to explore. It is a wonderful gem. Sadly there are no comprehensive maps of the place, even all trails does a poor job. So turn on you GPS and explore, so you don’t get lost!
What a great place to walk. Love the trails and the views of the dam. Plenty of parking and porta pottys. An awesome recreation area. There are also places to picnic, run, and play ball. There is a boat launch and it's great for kayaking and canoeing. (No swimming) Really enjoy this place.
I think i posted already about this place and how beautiful it is... dogs are allowed but on leash only, tons of hiking trails and lots to do if your an outdoors person!
Nicely maintained park with picnic tables and some nice hiking trails.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
