Confirmed from Maple Woods Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring unpaved paths for hiking through forest, and a creek.
What runners say about Maple Woods Natural Area
“Beautiful fall afternoon, and quiet trails for some family time.”
Went for another adventure through this natural trail. Lots of different paths to take. I went barefoot and enjoyed it thoroughly. Bring some bug spray and water. There are a few benches placed throughout this trail system. Also parking lot is small.
Gorgeous area, especially during the Fall color change. The main path up from the parking area has a lot of large "ankle twister" rocks so be careful!
Beautiful fall afternoon, and quiet trails for some family time. Trail markings are mostly faded, but there is no difficulty in following the loop trail. Bridges are all in nice shape. Very accessible for small children, unless you want a paved path.
For a nice family trail to walk in a nicely wooded area Maple Woods Nature area is great! I like to go and walk the trail regularly and each time it is a nice outing.
