This is a wonderful hike, not too difficult (until later parts) and is totally viable as a quick family walk or a 6 mile, more strenuous hike. The nature here is gorgeous, with the large oak trees and the stream right next to the trail! Definitely recommend a visit.
A great hike for the family! I took my 3yo and 6yo along with my wife. None of them have ever gone hiking but they loved it. There are rest stops throughout, which makes it ideal for us. Almost all of the trail is shaded by large, beautiful trees and be prepared to cross some shallow streams.
A beautiful trail with a stream along the side. There are a few spots where you have to cross through the stream as well and of course there are rocks to help but not all completely above the water so can be slippery. If you're lucky you'll see some deer! Overall a great place to hike!
I take more than 2 hours to hike here for 5 miles. The road is flat and easy to walk. It is also good for bike-riding. Of course, we spend a fun time here.
