Confirmed from Marvin Taylor Exercise Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Wonderful trail to run and walk! The larger loop is 2 miles and mostly shaded. The smaller loop is 1 mile and a fun way to encounter ducks, turtles, and other critters. Plenty of water fountains along the way. Can get a little crowded during prime times, but a great place to exercise nonetheless.

This is such an awareness to one's mindsight. The culture. The experience. The natural elements are all so connected. It feels good. As one shared with me as they walked the path, "your smile let's me know it's alright." Now that's connection - in tune.

First time walking this trail. Didn't know it existed or that there's a golf course on Hermann Park. On a weekday evening at 5 pm, you'll find a mix of runners, walkers, bicyclists, couples with strollers, and folks walking their dogs. A good portion of it is shaded (80%), which is nice when the sun is out.

This has been my go to place for my daily COVID-19 outting... shaded paths that make for a better run/walk during the Texas sun... Not so crowed early in the day compared to after work hours... Maka sure to wear a pair of tennis shoes you don't mind getting dirty.... Two mile trail around the park...

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
