Confirmed from Mathews Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open green space housing a restored 1868 mansion & a children's museum, plus play & sports areas.
What runners say about Mathews Park
“It's an easy area to get to and from nice, is clean, and very enjoyable.”
“Beautiful place to walk and read a bit of history along the way!”
Best place to go for run, walk, play. It’s for everyone except your pets. DOGS 🐶 are not allowed in the park. They have kids play area in one corner and stepping stone museum is situated in the opposite corner of the park. Mansion is in the entrance of the park which has separate parking.
Trail conditions & character
“We didn't have a dog but were informed by a family member in advanced, No dogs are allowed as there's a $150 fine for doing so if they write you a ticket.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
