We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of McCabe trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (31 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Not only does it have the creek running through but a beautiful memorial to all the lost children.”

It's such a great hidden gem. Not only does it have the creek running through but a beautiful memorial to all the lost children. You can also take a stroll around the lake or cast in a line. It's a very short walk being a little over a mile long in its entirety.

★★★★★ — Jeff , Apr 2023

One of the places that makes Parker a great town. Good spot to park and take a stroll or bike ride. A walk from here to the Salisbury Equestrian Park is a very good use of 45 minutes on a nice day. Lots of wildlife and wildflowers in season.

★★★★★ — Jonathan , Feb 2021

Great place to park or rest when using the Cherry Creek trail. There are two benches covered in a gazebo next to bathrooms with running cold water, soap, and flush toilets. There's a working water fountain for drinking or to refill your water bottle. The area feels safe.

Nice place to start a long walk on a semi cloudy weekend afternoon. Parking lot was a reasonable size and wasn’t full either when we arrived or when we left. Bathrooms were adequate. (I am just glad they were flushing toilets!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
