It was a big nice park to hike, walk or bike. The nature reserve there was so beautiful, quiet and lusciously green. They have many 2 entrances, one here and one on the Blackberry Farm. There are an old barn, a community garden, cute small animal farm, water streams, good hiking trails, and many sport fields.
I visit McClellan Park Preserve frequently! I love walking next to the little creek, beautiful native trees surrounding me. It feels as if nature is hugging you. The water has just started to flow in the stream, the tree branches are mostly bare but that has a beauty all it's own.
Interesting place with lots of animals including lamas and small pigs. They are so cute. The staffs there are very friendly too. The trail is also nice. Orange blossoms smell so good.
Great place to visit with kids. You can see historic buildings, bee hives, say hi to animals (alpacas, sheep, goats) and have a nice easy hike along Stevens Treek trail. Parking is limited, but easy to find a spot on street next to golf club (5 min walk). Stroller friendly.
