Confirmed from McSweeny Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McSweeny Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (207 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 11 mentions

“There is no restroom or other amenities but a small playground that is clean and well kept up.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Nice space with plenty of shade and a playground.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Small area, ideal for quiet outdoor parties or just a smaller play area for the kids”

This park is a pleasant park to go to, not much people go to this park so you will most likely have the park all to yourself. It is a medium size park with multiple facilities, such as basketball, baseball, soccer, and a playground. Restrooms are also available in the park and there is a good amount of parking.

Nice park with some shade trees. My 4 year old grandson really seemed to like using all the equipment, which gave him some age appropriate climbing challenges.

★★★★☆ — Lynn , Jun 2022

This is a clean, very well kept park. Great for families to walk, play basketball or baseball. Plenty of grass room for frisbee or any other activity requiring space. My kids favorite park. One of the great advantages is that there is a patroling security guard that prevents any creepy people from hanging around.

This is a nice little park inside a nice community in Hemet. Just be sure to come with hand soap as the restrooms are rarely stocked. Sometimes they even turn the water off so there's no running water for proper hand washing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“UPDATE: We have now been here 4 times during the day and have yet to see the restrooms unlocked.”
