Confirmed from Medal of Honor Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Facilities for football, soccer, softball, baseball & tennis along with walking path & picnic areas.
What runners say about Medal of Honor Park
“This park is clean (most of the time—please everyone, let’s clean up behind ourselves & preserve a nice area for our community!”
“The playground equipment has varying degrees in sizes for all ages, it's not Mickey mouse.”
This park has everything: Football, Baseball, Tennis, Gymnastics, Walking Trails, A playground, dog park, restrooms, large parking lot, and the woods. Plenty of people walking, jogging, or with their dogs. I think this park has the best playground in Mobile, it is five times the size of other playgrounds.
This is a nice park during the day. It's usually safe, and I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now, I usually hunt for mushrooms to identify in the woods area. There's tons of species back there. There's a pretty good trail/forest system connected, as well as a disc golf course.
This is the best park in Mobile for kids. This park offers so much. My understanding is that it is 80 acres total. Wide concrete walking/running path. You could roller blade, too. Also there are trails in the wooded areas and half of these trails have a disc golf course. There are multiple tennis courts available.
The splash pad is free It's very clean and sanitary. The kids love the splash pad and right in walking distance is The playground and also they had a snow cone truck. Various flavors reasonable price

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
