Confirmed from Memorial Lake State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“Great relaxing park beautiful trails around the lake and lots of picnic tables, great to kayak and great for fishing”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

I love this area around the lake. Took a walk around the whole lake. Trails are marked with signs and distances. A leisurely walk can take up to an hour around the whole lake. If you into military aircraft or like hearing them on maneuvers, this is one place to see, hear, and feel them at work.

Kayaking lovers, here is the best place for you during the summer. Picnic as couples, family and friends under the shadow or by the lake is great. Don't feel like boating, of course you can just walk around the lake for exercise.

Quick and easy to access. Nice walking trails and a running loop, if you like to run on the road. Access to Fishing Creek Valley road if you want to add miles.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 13 mentions

“I so love walking the trail at this park the views are so amazing and seeing so many wildlife in the lake and saw a lot of boaters and great spots to take photos.”

Plan your run at Memorial Lake State Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
