Confirmed from Mile Square Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park offering 3 golf courses, soccer fields & baseball diamonds as well as picknicking & lakes.
What runners say about Mile Square Regional Park
“The park is very well maintained with plenty of open green space, walking paths, and areas for families to enjoy.”
“One of the beautiful parks in the region, relaxing and just overall very well maintained.”
Mile Square Regional Park, named for its nearly perfect square shape with each side measuring approximately 1 mile, where you can find your own tranquility amidst the city. Half of the park's area is an 18-hole golf course, making it a pleasant place to walk.
Easily one of the most spacious parks in Orange County. So many activities here. Great for families and parties. Running, walking, biking, swan peddle boat rentals, tandem bikes w/cover rentals (2 and 4 seaters), golfing, a small fishing area, lots of grassy areas overlooking beautiful lakes where I’ve practiced yoga…
Nice Park was not overly crowded. Nice walkways just going to watch out for the geese and ducks. Nice trails curved in and out so you don't realize how large it is we were only there for maybe less than 2 hours and we got in over 5,000 steps for the day.
Great place for daily or weekly walk, run, picnic with family. Too much ducks so be careful with their boo boo :))))
Trail conditions & character
“One of the beautiful parks in the region, relaxing and just overall very well maintained.”
“There should take parking which is much better than trying to park on the outside of the park.”
“Restrooms: There are public restrooms within the park and they are clean.”
“If you go at night alone and are doing a run i recommend bringing a flash light as some routes are not well illuminated but it is still possible to run without it.”
