Confirmed from Mill Brook Preserve South Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mill Brook Preserve South Trailhead
“It was so peaceful and serene.”
(Edited and more pics, as I've gone again!!) Really nice walking trails. The first time my boyfriend and I went walking out there, we found a "Lady Slipper", growing all by its lonesome, next to a tree. This is a beautiful, healthy, working forest.
Great hike for beginners who are looking for a good challenge. For intermediate hikers, it is about right; not to tough, but not quite at that beginner level that you feel it is too easy. There are quite a few sections of uphill hiking, so be prepared for that.
This is a great little hike! It has some hills but nothing too hard. It does get muddy. The hike is short. It's great to take the dogs or just get out of the house for a small walk in the woods. Be mindful that your dog has to be leashed at all times. 😊 It has ample parking and has never been busy.
Well maintained trails and plenty of them for variable length hikes. So nice to be in the woods, especially with the alewives running. Nice flat glades, as well as some well labeled more challenging hills. So happy for the switchbacks where needed
