Confirmed from Mill Creek Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mill Creek Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (153 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful place to come and relax near the water, and take the peppers for a walk”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

I enjoyed the bridge over the creek. Has trees, water and vegetation. Parking lot and a simple trail. Yes, it's close to the road and houses but what more do you expect? I can remember when there use to be a barn and house on this property and the road use to be dirt. Nice little preserve you can enjoy nature.

★★★★★ — Rusty , Sep 2018

Nice little park. A well maintained path that is mainly flat, plus two bridges to get a view of the creek. The path is roughly .5 mile in length.

★★★★☆ — Bret , Dec 2023

Thus was a cute and easily accessible area. We didn't go back on the trail, but the creek was easy and fun to get around, there was a picnic table, and trails went further back.

★★★★☆ — Amber , Jun 2021

Nice walking path downhill on the way there, uphill walking back but not super hard. we came across a stream. Dog friendly. We only took one of the paths and their online map says there are multiple trails. We parked on the side of the road and walked.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
