Confirmed from Miller Woods Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Miller Woods Conservation Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (337 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“There isn't necessarily any outstanding scenery or interesting things to see, but it is extremely well maintained, not overly attended, and includes clean restrooms.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“2nd time me & my partner have gone to miller woods - a very beautiful location- pond area is a heaven - Lots of red winged black birds, deer & last time we saw lots of field mice!”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Beautiful easy hike that's very kid friendly.”

It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the visit if you enjoy walking meadows of the foothills or oak forests. It's about a ten minute drive from town. Not handicapped accessible. Porta-potty in the parking area. Miles of walking trails with lots of nature photo opportunities.

I absolutely loved it here. I was mesmerized by just how beautiful it was. Lots of benches along the way to sit and relax and take in the scenery. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I got lost, seriously lost.

Nice place for a hike. Choose your length with two cross trails. The outer loop is ~4m. Trek through prairie, woodlands, and view a pond. This place is supported by donations so stop by the kiosk and drop a $5.

★★★★☆ — Bree , Aug 2022

Nicely maintained trails, easy enough for my 2.5 year old to wander on, and even better that there aren't any dogs allowed. We have two pups, but it's nice to be able to go somewhere and not worry about a dog off leash rushing my toddler.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
