Confirmed from Mission Trails Rim Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Great views of Fortuna Mountains and pleasant rolling hills for ascent and descent.”

Always a good hike/run! Easy to moderate. If you get out far enough, it can nice and quite and secluded.

★★★★★ — Ricky , Jun 2020

This is a good place for an afternoon walk... The main trail is wide and there isn't usually very much activity... There are quite a few single track trails to walk that gives you a bit more feeling of solitude....

★★★★☆ — Jon , Nov 2019

Grateful for this well kept trail that is nice and wide and provides ample space for walking, running, dog walking and biking. Great views of Fortuna Mountains and pleasant rolling hills for ascent and descent. For animals I see lots of birds, occasional rabbits and rare tarantula and rare coyote sitings.

★★★★★ — Ni-Cheng , Feb 2025

Trails are in great shape and people are very friendly. Great for dogs and mountain biking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
