Confirmed from Murphy Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
120-acre park with athletic facilities, playgrounds, swimming pools, a lake & ample picnic sites.
What runners say about Murphy Park
“Had an impromptu picnic and we loved how quiet and clean the park was.”
“A beautiful place for a picnic with a nice trail to walk around and enjoy nature by the water.”
“Murphy Park is so peaceful & full of ducks, geese & the Great white egrets that fill the little island on the lake.”
Amazing park very well maintained lots of shade throughout the trails huge pond filled with turtles fish and a small island for all the different birds that surround the area there's also a basketball court a pool and other things to do keep up the great work Murphy Park.
Beautiful park. No bathroom.. because of covid. I think it's time to open them back up. You have miles and miles of beautiful walking trail and no bathrooms.
Peaceful, lovely, few people, lots of egrets landing on the island just before sunset. More ducks and geese walking around. Watch for fire ants! Looks like mini-golf is available but you probably have to bring your own putter and ball. What an unexpected treasure!
That atmosphere was great, seems like a great place to take the family, dog or just to walk the trails. They have a lake you can fish. I just caught small bluegills but saw some carp surface the water. I was targeting bass and didn't catch one! Good size lake, had a play area for children.
