Confirmed from Murray Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring 3 to 4 baseball fields and a concession stand, along with trails.
What runners say about Murray Park
“Beautiful place,nice ravines, and quiet.”
Very nice walking trail here Fred Tarr trail I think takes about an hour to walk the whole thing. Is in need of repair in the bridge section 😫 so be careful. I would like to see it cleared of dead fall, several places have been blocked by fallen trees.
Beautiful park. The trails are nice with areas of nice scenery. Only issue was the highway noise, otherwise a nice place to bring family and friends.
Three softball fields, concession stand, walking trails, playground, basketball goal, shelter house, picnic tables, good times. Never crowded except during bigger ballgames. The site houses the NLCS Administration Building, the FOP, and a firefighter training center.
If you like a good hearty walk and no people this place is it. Beautiful place, nice ravines, and quiet.
Trail conditions & character

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
