Confirmed from Natural Tunnel Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful peaceful scenery.”
“Great conveniences, well marked, nice scenery, good tree coverage, not challenging vertically, can ford the streams on stones.”
Love this park. It's quite a hike to get to the tunnel but it's worth it. I did it in 2 and a half hours hiking hard.
Beautiful hike. A lot of interesting views with a lot of history there. Trail is mostly maintained. Lots of water crossings and falling rocks so heads up. Listen for the creaking of the trees if it’s windy… might make u a widow.
I took the savanna ridge trail! really easy loop trail with nice nature.
It was a nice hike, took about 4 and a half hours but my kids and I loved the tunnel. So pretty !!

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
