We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Nesbitt Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Nesbitt Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (222 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Then take in the scenic Susquehanna River as you stroll and then bench sit for a while before returning under those massive trees.”

Nesbitt Park is a hidden gem along the Susquehanna River. Great for walking, biking, or just relaxing with a view. The trails are well maintained, there's plenty of open space, and it's usually peaceful and not overcrowded. Perfect for a picnic or just to take a breather from the city.

The Trees, oh my, the Trees. All different types growing on a well manicured lawn though most notably the massive Sycamores. Their size approaches the California Sequoia. It is so majestic to walk beneath them in the grass and gaze up at them.

Great nature views hidden between Wilkes Barre and Kingston. A quite oasis. There's a boat launch, parking for cars and boat/trailers. Plenty of space to walk, benches to sit. Access to the walking trail on the river and Kirby Park.

Beautiful area along the river. Nice walking paths that you share with bicyclist. And a cool frisbee golf game!! And there's a boat launch by Pier Street bridge. Nesbitt Park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
