Confirmed from NH Seacoast Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about NH Seacoast Greenway
“The trail is in great condition and lots of other people out there on this beautiful Memorial Day.”
Parking available at Portsmouth Skate Park, path leading to trail to the right of skate park.
What a wonderful trail! We did a 7.5 mile out and back (15 miles total) from the Portsmouth Skate Park to the southern terminous in Hampton. The trail is in great condition and lots of other people out there on this beautiful Memorial Day.
There are two entries for this access on Google Maps. There is another small parking 🅿️ area at the Portsmouth end 🔚 of the trail. I have visited the Portsmouth and North ⬆️ Hampton ends of this trail. I have walked past Banfield Road and reached Ocean 🌊 Road. I love ❤️ this trail.
Beautiful wide path with lots of shade. Only went 6 miles, but we'll be back.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
