We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Nipmuc River trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Nipmuc River trail
NOTE- four parking spaces are on the west side of the road about 50 yards north. This town land is surrounded by private property. The Nipmuc River Trail is provided by the town of Burrillville through the town's Conservation Commission.
If you are into snake effigy and mounds, they are in and around this area. At the beginning of the trail head, just after the clearing where you can go left to lower path or right to go, the upper snake head is just up the left path to the immediate right of the trail.
Parking could be an issue, but great place, very quiet. Hike to the river it's a great surprise. Clean well maintained.
