Confirmed from North Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing park where families enjoy the playground and tranquil lake.
What runners say about North Lake Park
“Not bad ,good views but need more clean and maintenance”
“Close to our house, very beautiful lake with children’s playground and a lot of birds, turtles and squirrels.”
“The only thing is the playground has no shade at all and the beach club seems like it is only for residents.”
“It is a quiet and peaceful place where you can enjoy beautiful scenery like a scene from a movie.”
North Lake Park is a lake park located in Woodbridge, Barranca Pkwy. in Irvine. It is a quiet and peaceful place where you can enjoy beautiful scenery like a scene from a movie. If you walk around the lake, you can see a flock of ducks. They don’t run away when you approach them, but rather approach people friendly.
This community park is amazing. They have a mini beach set up at this community that’s so cool. And also good loop to do a brisk walk. Route is not too crowded. But just liked this park. The mini beach entry is only to the north park club members. This park is between the apartments.
North Lake Park has gorgeous views and walking path. Perfect place to bring your dog or have a bike ride or picnic. The bridge area is currently under construction, but it’s still serene/peaceful.
I love the tennis courts and trails around North lake here. It's serene and beautiful. There is a playground for the little ones, and the wooden bridge is nice. Currently under construction, safety fences are installed everywhere.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
