Confirmed from Norway Ridge Pathway Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Norway Ridge Pathway Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (80 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Beautiful place 😍 I stopped here to walk my dog and stretch my legs from working and it was breath taking!”

🪧 well-marked 3 mentions

“Take an outdoor walk along this well marked on Northern Michigan trail I think you'll enjoy it.”

The trail itself is great I have no complaints, but if you're going to go out on the trail and walk around with your face buried in your phone instasnapping your Twitter cult followers, then expect to have the hell scared out of you when a mountain bike flies passed you at 20 miles an hour 😉.

This is a great path. Around 6 miles. Has some minor dips that do not drain real well d So wear boots after the weather comes through. It is groomed in the winter for skiing and snow shoes too

Beautiful trail system. All tree covered & nice, even on a hot day. I took my friend & 2 horses 🐎 🐴 only downfall was a lot of dog walkers,(friendly,) and an angry BMX person who didn't think we belonged.

★★★★☆ — Kelly , Sep 2024

My young sons and I had a great time riding our bikes around the main pathway. The trail consists of many rolling hills and wooden bridges crossing wet areas. There is also a network of single track trail not shown on the trail map which is great for more advanced riders.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
