Confirmed from Ogden Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“There’s a beautiful walking trail and water just near the park.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“There's a great playground for kids, lots of shaded areas to walk around in, and a pond full of turtles.”

Great park for kids! It's got a fun playground with swings and slides (some of which was under a shade canopy), a lovely walking path around a pond (my kids' enjoyed watching the ducks and turtles), picnic pavilions, bathrooms, and even a little free library. We will definitely be returning.

Ogden park was a great time. Not too crowded but not completely empty. There is a good mix between traditional playground equipment and newer and more creative spins on things. There’s a beautiful walking trail and water just near the park.

★★★★★ — Jordan , Aug 2025

Ogden Park is a solid neighborhood park with a lot going for it, especially if you’re looking for open space, sports fields, and a place to walk or let kids play. The fields are generally well used and the park has a good community feel, especially during games and weekends. That said, it isn’t perfect.

I love this park! Theres so many things to do here. There is a tennis court, skate park, workout spot, walking/bike trail, picnic tables, soccer field, restroom area, dog park ect. They have their own management facility, the land is well kept and mowed. Plenty of shade. Plenty of beautiful nature around. 👌🏼

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 22 mentions

“Lots of activities from soccer fields, walking trails, skate park, tennis, dog park, picnic shelters, football field, and a play ground for the kids.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
