What runners say about Old School Forest Preserve Trail
This place is truly lovely. Well groomed trails, clean rest areas, and delightfully shady. My only wish would be that the trails had clearer markers so you knew if you were on red, yellow, or pink! My GPS came in handy. Great accessibility if you are mobility challenged.
Great trails for walking the dogs. In the winter there are cross country skiers. The rest of the year there are runners as well as bicyclists and the occasional horse rider. There are several shelters that can be reserved. The toilets are chemical facilities.
We love walking the paths here. There are multiple paths to choose from, each a different distance. There is also a lake to fish and even a sledding hill for the snowy weather.
