Confirmed from Old Stone Bridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area around Fox Valley Technical College with a well-maintained, half-mile trail that's dog-friendly.
What runners say about Old Stone Bridge Trail
“The bridge itself is just a few steps from the trail entrance, and farther down is a branch-off which leads to the Appleton Cemetery, which is both tranquil and beautiful.”
Diamond in the rough ! We discovered this bridge over 20 years ago .....it's only gotten popular recently due to the remodel on the hospital in front. The trail offers about a quarter mile stretch to the Fox Valley Technical College ....
We go take a walk on this trail atleast twice a week. Daughter loves it. Lots of times we see deer as well.
Really beautiful paved trail and bridge, great for walking your dog or just doing some photography
Although slightly underwhelming because of its proximity to the noisy highway, this trail is precious and quaint. The bridge itself is just a few steps from the trail entrance, and farther down is a branch-off which leads to the Appleton Cemetery, which is both tranquil and beautiful. Parking and admission are free.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
