Confirmed from Paseo Vista Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling park boasting a playground, archery lanes and disc golf course.
What runners say about Paseo Vista Recreation Area
“My only problem is the airport next door has lots of little planes flying overhead, so it’s not as quiet as some other places.”
Excellent place for walking, running, bicycling (slowly), hanging out, etc. it has an archery range as well as a decent sized disc golf course. It also connects to the Chandler Paseo Trail which goes forever along the canal.
There's a disc golf course, dog park, playground, archery area and canal path. This place used to be a dump, but the city made it into something worthwhile.
This park is a good spot to use for access to the canal path and also has some good (albeit limited) trail options in the park itself. We did a workout that alternated between flat running reps along the canal with some hill repeats on one of the paths leading from the canal into the park.
I went for a walk at Paseo Vista Recreation Area, and it was so nice! The park has wide paths and lovely views. It's peaceful and great for a relaxing stroll. I enjoyed the fresh air and nature. It's a perfect place for a leisurely walk in the outdoors.
Trail conditions & character
“This is honestly the nicest and biggest dog park I have ever seen, and I love that they rotate the two sections each week so the grass can bounce back.”
“From a very beautiful and friendly dog park to an orienteering course to an archery range it's a great place for both family and personal activities.”
“Great play structures, bathrooms, water fountains, frisbee golf, archery, dog park, picnic benches and lots of trails.”
“Plenty of parking and some trails as well.”

“There is a measured mile loop (with distances marked) in the park, or you could design your own loop with a mix of flat and rolling terrain.”
