Confirmed from Pelona Vista Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large recreational park with lighted soccer fields & trails for running, plus mountain views.

Starting from one end of the park to top of the hill, one gains some perspective. An occasional rabbit here and there. Usually, squirrels and road runners. Fitness court is my favorite part.
This is a very calm peaceful Park. Came here to kind of clear my thoughts and look at the beautiful scenery. Lots of dog walking for sure which is always fun says they like to come and say hi to me.
Gorgeous park. I went for a nice walk. I loved the large grassy land and variety of trees. There's plenty of shade and space for picnics or soccer game gatherings. The restrooms were clean and there was toilet paper and hand soap. I loved that. Also, the park has two sides. So plenty of running or walking space.
My kids and I hike/run the trails between the freeway and behind the soccer field. We love it. It's beautiful when the sun is setting, but bring a 🔦 or you might get lost, the lights at the soccer field go off at about 8:20ish.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
