Great hike! I’d say it’s low medium level of difficulty, took about two and a half hours to complete with breaks. The views are so worth it. And the trail is well maintained. The fee is $5 in cash.
Woo my legs are still sore but my God I forgot how much I love this trail. Please keep in mind of your fellow hikers the trail does twist and turn beyond sight at times.
Amazing views! Make sure to take plenty of water and snacks! There's a halfway point where you can sit down and take a break and it also has a primitive camp site if that's something you'd like to do.
A perfectly nice four mile loop with modest elevation change punctuated with fantastic views of the Organ Mountains and surrounding desert floor which had a yellow flower blooming in massive carpets. We hit this in March 2019 and there was plenty of parking at the trail head.
