Confirmed from Poricy Park Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Expansive park with 250 acres of open space, a large pond & forest with hiking trails.
What runners say about Poricy Park Nature Center
“We couldn’t find any fossils at this park, but it was otherwise beautiful.”
“There are many days you could have this whole place to yourself, also dog friendly!”
I have been going here since I was a little kid . They have a lot of live animal on display. They have class for kids to learn about nature. There's a lot of trails to explore, walking dogs, jogging & walking. They have a souvenir shop to have reminder of your trip. Fun for one and all.
This is a hidden gem, if you want to escape for a little bit come here. Car parking ample, nice facilities and trails. Nothing too strenuous but then, you came here for you - just take 30 minutes, deep breaths, soak it all up and make yours and other peoples day better.
Beautiful park! However the trails are relatively short, so if you’re looking for a jog longer than 1.5-2 miles, I don’t recommend this. The path is great if you’re looking for a one mile jog.
It was great. I took my 3 kids 5,3, 18 months. Trails were amazing, and I was able to let them run with the wide paths. We then decided to try a little more daring and went through a smaller trail but it was exactly what I was looking for. Great place will be back.
