One of the best county parks you can visit. This place is very cool and its rigth off the interstate. You do have to pay $5 to park but it is well worth it. Has awesome trails and scenery, lots of wildlife. There are numerous old quarys currently used to swim, fish or scuba.

I'd heard of Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, but had never been. Though I'd wait until autumn and for the sun to come out before making the 1-1/2 hour drive for my first visit. So glad I did. Beauty and surprises everywhere Saturday afternoon.
I can’t believe this isn’t a State Park. I feel like with an extra bit of funding this place can be the 5 star experience I think it can be. Trails, Mini Mining Museum, and more Quarries than one can count on both hands. This place offers a lot!
