Confirmed from Rambling River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park, known for its trout fishing and playground with slides and swings.
What runners say about Rambling River Park
“It's clean, the walkways are well maintained; we appreciate the gift it is to the community.”
“Lots to do for the kids of all ages.”
Nice trails for a walk or bike ride. Plenty of room for a family gathering. Several grilling stations and picnic tables. Multiple entrances and parking lots. Updated playground.
A wonderful park with a lot of trails! Great trout fishing. A lot of wildlife.
A wonderful small town treasure. Paved trails walk you along the edge of the Vermilion River through a heavily wooded wetland buffer. Bring a pole and try to catch a brook trout or rainbow. Adjacent to the parking is a nice picnic area with pavilion and also a wonderful memorial to our war hero's.
I'm always thankful for the trails at Rambling River Park. This afternoon, I had the chance to walk it with a Farmington, MN friend. We enjoyed it immensely and met several new, delightful Farmington residents. Thank you to each one who tends this local treasure.
