Park features: 4 traditional slides +1 roller slide A playhouse with a fence, drums, mailbox and counter A bridge 2 big kid swings 1 baby swing 2 high backed 5 point restraint swings A spiny thing with 2 levels and lots of ropes to climb Climbing ‘log’ wall A wobbly bench And more!
I take walks, go to Starbucks and come here to sit and drink my coffee. It is right next to my old elementary school so it's sentimemtal. It's been a sand mountain, literally, all my years of elementary school. The park itself is wonderful to relax in. The kids seem to have fun here so that's good.
This park took 20 years to build. It's not 100% child friendly because our children are now adults. Part of the design was meant for kids and dogs. There isn't much parking because it's a NEIGHBORHOOD PARK, not a city park. Many of us take walks with our dogs, and that was the point with the design.
I’m so glad this park opened near my house. It’s a nice place to go for a walk and clear your mind. The cherry on top: I’ll sometimes bump into people I know here.
