Confirmed from Red Rocks Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Forested locale with walking trails that's popular for rock climbing and hiking, plus ocean views.
What runners say about Red Rocks Conservation Area
“Great hike, rock climbing, great view of Atlantic and surrounding area of Gloucester.”
This was a great spot for a hike with some great higher difficulty trails. Popular spot for rock climbers and boulderers. I knocked off a star because the trails could use much better marking and some managing overgrowth. I lost my trail at least four times and ended up bushwhacking some.
Great hike, rock climbing, great view of Atlantic and surrounding area of Gloucester.
We went for the first time yesterday, trails weren't marked so we could never figure out how to get to the points that look like you have high views. What we did hike around was easy. However, we found a ton of deer ticks on our dogs so beware! Just double check yourself and your dogs...
Great hikes and views, good climbing and just a fun nature hike . Been coming here since I was kid. Please keep it clean 😁 kinda a hidden spot easy to miss driving ,just a dirt parking area and a small sign. Right before the overpass . Lots of trails and you can reach the Gloucester reservoir from here as well
