Confirmed from Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Very beautiful camp site, very grassy the portable bathrooms right down the road was a major plus.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“I'd suggest a cooler day, there isn't a lot of shade if you're on the water.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Not crowded, feel the nature as it's own way.”

Started at Peltier boat launch. The water level is very low right now. Was there to paddle board to George Watch lake. The paddle is about a mile and hard right now through the Chanel with the low water level, the weeds and lily pads are very thick. Once out to the lake it was beautiful.

Beautiful area. Wish there were more loop trails and maps. We went on Marshan Lake trail mid-August. It was mostly shaded and super pretty.

★★★★☆ — Steph , Aug 2020

Wonderful place to visit with beach, park, playground and long trail for walking , running or biking. Not crowded, feel the nature as it's own way. W simply loved the place. Also have clean restroom and picnic tables. Also in shade. But you have to paye six dollers per day or buy an annual pass for 35 dollers.

★★★★★ — Ruplekha , Aug 2022

Awesome place. Beach, playground, gazebo, and miles of walking trails. Be advised, you have to pay to park. An annual pass is 30 something bucks. Week worth it in my mind. Kids loved it and not too many people there when we went.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
